Education

Allison received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Georgian Court University and her Master of Social Work degree, with a specialization in health and mental health, from the Silberman School of Social Work at the City University of New York. She completed a fellowship in psychoanalysis at New York University School of Medicine’s Psychoanalytic Training Institute, and her post-graduate training in psychotherapy at the Contemporary Freudian Society Psychoanalytic Institute.

She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Structural Family Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). In addition to her formal meditation training, she has been a student and practitioner of mindfulness meditation for more than a decade.
